Bio
IT Business Analyst at Sanlam and part time BCom Honours student in Information Systems. I have tutored since my high school years and I enjoy the moment something clicks for a learner.
I do not repeat the textbook explanation louder. I find where the learner's understanding actually breaks down, usually a few steps before the question they are stuck on, and rebuild from there. I teach learners how to work and not only what to know: how to plan a study week, how to break a large problem into smaller ones, and how to check their own answers so that they stop needing me.

Subjects
CAT
Grade 1 - Grade 12 NSCI work in IT every day, so I can show learners why CAT content matters beyond the exam. It is often taught as a filler subject by non specialists, which is exactly why learners struggle with it. I achieved 84% for CAT in matric.
Mathematics
Grade 1 - Grade 10 NSCI continued with mathematics at university level and achieved 72% in my first year course as part of a Computer Science degree. That gives me the content confidence to work through Grade 12 material, and the perspective to see which school topics actually matter later.
English
Grade 1 - Grade 10 NSCAs a business analyst I write specifications and reports that other people have to act on, so clear writing and accurate comprehension are my daily working tools. I teach English as a practical skill rather than as a set of rules to memorise.
Economic Management Science (EMS)
Grade 1 - Grade 9 NSCAccounting to matric plus a BCom Honours background means I can handle both halves of EMS, the ledgers and the business content.
Mathematics Literacy
Grade 1 - Grade 12 NSCMaths Literacy is really about reading real situations correctly, which is what I do as a business analyst working with budgets, data, and reports. I took Accounting to matric and maths to first year university, so I can teach the subject on its own terms.
Reviews from others
Rubainia was absolutely amazing with my son. She was so patient with him and really built up his confidence. She was God sent and as a parent I am truly grateful for her excellent tutoring skills.

Rubainia effortlessly keeps our daughter engaged during her lessons. She is attentive, patient and makes an effort to ensure that our daughter is following and understanding her work, rather than simply working through the material. We really appreciate this level of care and attention she brings to each lesson.
